The Cottage is our smaller stay at House Kinlands, set on open farmland in Bow. It’s a place with a quiet kind of presence, intentionally simple, vintage in spirit, and designed for rest.

Over the past two years of welcoming guests here, we’ve heard the same themes repeated again and again. People come for a true retreat away from the city and leave feeling restored. They talk about the calm, the privacy, the way the light moves through the space, and how quickly the cottage helps them exhale. So we’ve decided to let our guests, in a sense, describe what it feels like to stay here.

Inside, the Cottage is thoughtfully layered without feeling cluttered. Guests often mention the vintage furnishings, antiques, and small details that make it feel more like a boutique hideaway than a typical rental. The bed and linen bedding are one of the most commented-on features, and many guests say they sleep better here than they do at home.
